Hey, hey baby, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl
Hey, hey baby, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl

When I saw you walking down the street
I said that’s the kind of girl I’d like to meet
She’s so pretty, lord she’s fine. I’m gonna make her mine all mine

Hey, hey baby, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl

When you turned and walked away, that’s when I want to say now
Come on baby give me a whirl, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl

Hey, hey baby, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl

When you turned and walked away, that’s when I wanna say
Come on baby give me a whirl, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl

Hey, hey baby, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl
Hey, hey baby, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl
Hey, hey, hey, hey baby, I wanna know if you’ll be my girl

Do you like motivational posters?

Yes?

Not my type.

Galveston, oh Galveston, I still hear your sea winds blowin'
I still see her dark eyes glowin'
She was twenty-one when I left Galveston

Galveston, oh Galveston, I still hear your sea waves crashing
While I watch the cannons flashing
I clean my gun and dream of Galveston

I still see her standing by the water
Standing there lookin' out to sea
And is she waiting there for me?
On the beach where we used to run

Galveston, oh Galveston, I am so afraid of dying
Before I dry the tears she's crying
Before I watch your sea birds flying in the sun
At Galveston, at Galveston

Back.

This morning in Yangon my bed was shaking. We were all joking about the earthquake; no real damage in Yangon.

Landed in Singapore and learned what really happened.

Puts a damper on things.

Gone to Burma, back on December 26. 13 days of solo travel to Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, and points elsewhere.

(From a Burma Photo Gallery)

Happy holidays and an early Merry Christmas!

I'll be off in my own little corner of the world.

My Little Corner of the World - Yo La Tengo
"Come along with me to my little corner of the world
Dream a little dream in my little corner of the world
You'll soon forget that there's any other place
Tonight, my love, we'll share a sweet embrace

And if you care to stay in my little corner of the world
We could hide away in my little corner of the world
I always knew that I'd find someone like you
So welcome to my little corner of the world

And if you care to stay in our little corner of the world
We could hide away in our little corner of the world
We always knew that we'd find someone like you
So welcome to our little corner of the world"

"New Slang" - The Shins

Gold teeth and a curse for this town were all in my mouth.
Only, i don't know how they got out, dear.
Turn me back into the pet that i was when we met.
I was happier then with no mind-set.

And if you'd 'a took to me like
A gull takes to the wind.
Well, i'd 'a jumped from my tree
And i'd a danced like the king of the eyesores
And the rest of our lives would 'a fared well.

New slang when you notice the stripes, the dirt in your fries.
Hope it's right when you die, old and bony.
Dawn breaks like a bull through the hall,
Never should have called
But my head's to the wall and i'm lonely.

And if you'd 'a took to me like
A gull takes to the wind.
Well, i'd 'a jumped from my tree
And i'd a danced like the kind of the eyesores
And the rest of our lives would 'a fared well.

God speed all the bakers at dawn may they all cut their thumbs,
And bleed into their buns 'till they melt away.

I'm looking in on the good life i might be doomed never to find.
Without a trust or flaming fields am i too dumb to refine?
And if you'd 'a took to me like
Well i'd a danced like the queen of the eyesores
And the rest of our lives would 'a fared well.
